Introduction

By registering for the OCR World Championship 2025, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Your participation is conditional upon your compliance with these terms.

Event overview

The OCR World Championship 2025, including the Adaptive OCR categories, is organized under the authority of the World Obstacle, representing athletes from over 140 countries. Events include:

  • 100m
  • Short Course
  • Standard Course
  • Team Relay
  • Open Event

1. Eligibility

1.1 General requirements

  • All elite and age group athletes must be in good standing with their National Federations(NFs)
  • Athletes under suspension by any FISO-affiliated body are prohibited from competing.

1.2 Minors

  • Participants under 18 years of age must present a signed waiver by their legal guardian at check-in.

2. Registration

2.1 Sign-up

  • Registration is conducted exclusively through https://www.ocrwc2025.com.
  • By registering, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2.2 Participant Limits & Identification

  • The organizer reserves the right to limit the number of participants per race.
  • Valid identification is required to collect the start kit at check-in. Start kits will not be issued without a valid ID.

2.3 Refund policy

  • Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

3. event rules

3.1 code of conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Practice good sportsmanship and adhere to all event rules.
  • Respect other athletes, officials, volunteers, media, sponsors, and spectators.
  • Compete without receiving outside assistance, except from event personnel or officials.
  • Obey all instructions from race officials.

3.2 Prohibited conduct

The following may result in disqualification or dismissal from the event area:

  • Use of abusive, derogatory, or inflammatory language.
  • Disposal of litter outside designated zones
  • Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage.

4. Liability & insurance

4.1 Health & fitness

  • Participants must be in good health and appropriate physical condition for the race.
  • Time limits for course completion will be established and communicated pre-event.

4.2 Insurance

  • Each participant must have personal insurance. This insurance must cover:
    • Accidents occurring before, during, or after the event.
  • Sickness during travel or the event.
  • Liability for damages caused by the participant.

5. Equipment & attire

5.1 Footwear

  • Proper shoes are mandatory. Shoes with metal spikes are strictly prohibited.

5.2 uniform

  • Athletes must wear uniforms conforming to FISO Uniform Rules.
  • Gloves with rubber textures are recommended and available for purchase at the venue.

6. prohibited substances & alcohol

6.1 Anti-doping

  • Athletes must comply with FISO Anti-Doping Rules and WADA Code.
  • It is the athlete’s responsibility to understand prohibited substances and testing procedures.

6.2 Alcohol & drugs

  • Intoxication by alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited for participants.

7. enviromental responsibility

Participants must:

  • Respect the environment.
  • Dispose of all trash in designated containers.

Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

8. emergency services

  • Medical support, including mobile teams, ambulances, and health care tents, will be available on-site.
  • Officials are equipped to coordinate timely medical assistance.

9. course adjustments

  • The organizer reserves the right to modify the course layout, length, obstacles, and drink station placements. Pre-race maps are indicative and subject to change.

10. Media rights

  • Photos and videos taken during the event may be used by the organizer and partners for marketing and promotional purposes without further consent or compensation.

11. personal data

  • By registration, participants agree to the collection and use of their personal data for event administration and marketing purposes.

12. force majeure

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • War or riots
  • Epidemics
  • Government restrictions

13. Behaviour & local laws

  • Participants must comply with local laws and act respectfully towards others. Aggressive or inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification.
