Qualification Period

The qualification period is determined by each National Federation (NF). Please contact your NF for specific details.

Registration period

  • Opens: January 15, 2025
  • Price increase: March 1 and August 1
  • Closes: August 25, 2025 (no exceptions)
  • Payment method: Online payments via Visa/Mastercard only.

National Federation Registration Process

It is possible for National Federations to reserve starting spots for Elite and National Team Race categories and submit athlete names at a later date. 

Procedure

  • We will send you a link for you to purchase tickets for the Elite races.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with registration links to register at latest August 25.

Eligibility to Compete

Divisions overview

Elite Division

  • Qualification through the National Federation is mandatory.
  • Categories: Male | Female

Age Group Division

  • Qualification through the National Federation is mandatory.
  • Categories vary by course:
    • Short Course | Standard Course
  • 10-19 divided in 2-year categories
  • 20+ years (divided in 5-year categories up to the age of the oldest competitor)

Age Calculation

  • Over 16: Age is based on December 31, 2025.
  • Under 16: Age is based on race day.
  • Athletes turning 16 in 2025 may compete in the 16/17 category with parental and NF consent.

Age requirements

  • 100m: Minimum age 10 years (on race day)
  • Short Course: Minimum age 10 years (on race day)
  • Standard Course: Minimum age 16 years (31/12/2025)
  • National Team Relay: Minimum age 16 years (31/12/2025)
  • Competition Team Relay: Minimum age 10 years (on race day)
  • 100m National Team Relay: Minimum age 10 years (on race day)
  • 100m Competition Team Relay: Minimum age 10 years (on race day)

If you are under the age of 18 a waiver must be signed by a caregiver and brought to check in to get your start number. This waiver form will be provided during registration. You can also find it for download here.

Without a signed waiver we can not hand out your start number. No refunds are given.

Open Division

  • No qualification required.

100 M

  • Minimum age: 10 years.
  • Managed by each country’s National Federation.
  • Each country may register 26 athletes via NF-assigned codes.
  • Competition categories as follows:
    • Elite
    • Youth 10 - 15
    • Junior 16 - 19
    • Senior 20 - 39
    • Masters 40 - 59
    • Veterans 60+
    • Adaptive (multiple)
  • Unused spots will be reallocated by May 20, 2025.

Team Relay

National Team Relay

Managed by each NF. Contact your NF for details.

Each country may form up to four teams:

  • 1 Mixed Team (2+2)
  • 1 Female Team (3 Athletes)
  • 1 Male Team (3 Athletes)
  • 1 Adaptive Team (3 Athletes, minimum 1 adaptive athlete)

Athletes will run one lap each on the same course and complete all the obstacles.

On the last lap all athletes will run together with both individual and team obstacles.

Each lap will be around 2 km.

Important: National Team Relay athletes must use official NF technical equipment.

Competition Team Relay

Open to qualified Age Group and Elite athletes.

Team Types:

  • Female Team (3 Athletes)
  • Male Team (3 Athletes)
  • Mixed Team (2+1 or 1+2 Athletes)

Team Athletes do not have to be from the same country.

Athletes will run one lap each on the same course and complete all the obstacles.

On the last lap all athletes will run together with both individual and team obstacles.

Each lap will be around 2 km.

100 m National Team Relay

Managed by each NF. Contact your NF for details. 

Each country may form one team:

  • 1 Mixed Team (2+2)

Important: National Team Relay athletes must use official NF technical equipment.

100m Competition Team Relay

Open to qualified Age Group and Elite athletes.

  • Team Types:
    • Mixed Team (2+2)
  • Teams do not have to be from the same country. 

Rules

General Rules individual races

  • Registration is non-refundable and non-deferrable.
  • Transfers allowed within the same category (e.g., Elite to Elite).
    • Name changes allowed for €30 until August 25th.
  • On-site transfers are not permitted.
  • Valid registration/ticket is required to compete. Violations result in disqualification and ticket price claims.
  • Elite qualifiers may choose to race in Age Group. However, Age Group qualifiers cannot race in Elite.
  • All Athletes must use official NF technical equipment.
  • Wristband & Penalty System: International 3-wristband + penalty loop system.
  • Start list: The start lists will be formed by ranking.
  • Gender-change policies apply: Transgender women (male to female) cannot compete in women’s categories.

  • Athletes will run one lap each and the last lap together. Each lap will be around 2 km.
  • Each team has to register at least two members.
  • Registration is non-refundable and non-deferrable.
  • Transfers allowed within the same category (e.g., Elite to Elite).
  • Valid registration/ticket is required to compete. Violations result in disqualification and ticket price claims.
  • Elite qualifiers may choose to race in Age Group. However, Age Group qualifiers cannot race in Elite.
  • Wristband & Penalty System: International 3-wristband + penalty loop system.
  • Start list: The start lists will be formed by ranking.

National Team Relay Registration Details

National Federations can reserve starting spots for elite and National Team Race categories and submit athlete names at a later date. Email your request to hello@ocrwc2025.com 

Competition Team Relay Registration Details
  • You register your team members.
  • If needed it is possible to update names free of charge by emailing hello@ocrwc2025.com until August 25.
  • After August 25, changes can still be made free of charge at the venue until September 13 at 12:00 (the day before the race starts).

Adaptive Athlete rules

  • Managed at the discretion of each NF.
  • Compete in unmodified short/standard/100m courses, in separate waves.
  • Adaptive athletes receive 5 wristbands and additional obstacle allowances.
  • All adaptive athletes will be contacted after registration to confirm status..

Anti Doping

We will have doping controls. If you do not understand the WADA rules it is possible you could unintentionally violate the anti-doping rules and be disqualified, banned, or worse.

We provide free anti-doping education and certification through WADA which we strongly encourage all athletes to complete.
